IAER membership is open to anyone working in the field of education and/or research in any domain. Members of IAER widely vary in their professions such as postgraduate students, research scientist/engineers, faculties, professor emeritus and so forth, from around the globe.

IAER does not charge any annual fee for membership, pursuant to its objective to enable seamless exchange of information and ideas among the educators and/or researchers.

Recent Changes in Membership Application Process |
Due to extremely high volume of membership applications, legitimate applicants are being affected. Therefore, from 1st January 2019, IAER is imposing a non-refundable 10 GBP processing fee per membership application. However, any future authors of IAER conferences or journals can claim this fee back as a reduction in the publication fee. Thus, application for membership for them shall still be free. This arrangement has been made so that we can ensure quality service to the legitimate applicants. This is to confirm that IAER has NO plan to impose annual membership fee.

Formation of IAER Chapter/Society
IAER provides four (4) categories of membership: Associate Member, Member, Senior Member and Fellow:

IAER Associate Member
University students, at both undergraduate and graduate levels, may join IAER as an Associate Member if they see their future career to be in the domain of education and/or research. This will help the pupils get early insight into their future career choices. IAER organizes many workshops and trainings aiming to help them build their career in the education and/or research industry. Associate Members are not granted any IAER post-nominal or right to vote in any chapter/society elections. However, they may subscribe to IAER News, avail any training opportunities and view all the IAER conference and journal publications without any fee.
Upon entering the career pathway in education and/or research, Associate Members can upgrade to full professional membership.
IAER Member
Post-graduate researchers such as MPhil/PhD students, academicians (in Higher Education Colleges or Universities), postdocs, and industry or academic researchers in any domain may join IAER as a full professional member (IAER Member). IAER Members can use MIAER post-nominal. IAER Members enjoy all the membership benefits as stated above.
Membership elevation to senior grade depends on the recommendations made by the members of IAER advisory board or chairs of IAER societies or chapters. Qualified IAER Members (MIAER) are then formally invited to become the IAER Senior Members.
IAER Senior Member
The grade of senior membership is the highest for which application may be made and requires experience reflecting professional maturity.
For admission or transfer to the grade of Senior member, candidate shall have been in professional practice for at least ten years and shall have shown significant performance over a period of at least five of those years. The Senior Member (SMIAER) grade of IAER is conferred on the eligible IAER Members (MIAER) based on recommendation of the members of IAER advisory board or chairs of IAER societies or chapters.
In addition to the benefits of the regular members, IAER Senior Members are invited to join the committees of IAER Societies or the IAER editorial board as board members or reviewers of the IAER journals. IAER Senior Members can also use SMIAER post-nominal.
IAER Fellows
The grade of IAER Fellow (FIAER) is conferred on educators and/researchers of distinction and outstanding qualifications, and who has made extraordinary contributions in the field of teaching and/or research. The Fellow (SMIAER) grade of IAER is conferred on the eligible IAER Senior Members (SMIAER) based on recommendation of the members of IAER advisory board or chairs of IAER societies or chapters.
In addition to the benefits of the regular members, IAER Fellows are invited to join the committees of IAER Societies or the IAER editorial board as board members or reviewers of the IAER journals. IAER Senior Members can also use FIAER post-nominal.

Since the scope of IAER is very wide, IAER Societies serve has a great platform for subject specific networking and information sharing opportunities through workshops, seminars, conferences and other relevant events. At present IAER has seven societies. However, IAER always welcomes and supports its members to form and lead new societies of their interests. Following are the currently serving societies of IAER:

Joining IAER is pretty simple and easy. Pay the membership application (non-refundable) fee of 10 GBP by our secure payment gateway powered by worldpay using "IAER_Membership" as the "Service ID" and then complete this short online form. If you have problem with online payment, email our membership team for details of wire transfer facilities. After your complete application is received, the team will then evaluate your eligibility for membership and the outcome will be communicated to you within 2-4 weeks. Each eligible candidate will also receive a free e-copy of membership certificate. Printed certificates can also be posted upon request, however, to cover the printing and postage cost, fee for this service is 10 GBP for UK applicants, 12 GBP for European applicants and 20 GBP for others.

For joining any society, existing IAER members can join any of the aforementioned societies by emailing the membership services. Proposals for forming new society can also be sent by email. Non-IAER members needs to join IAER first; IAER membership is free for eligible applicants.
